Bear Necessities

On our final day in Tahoe, we decided to drive to Dave and Jen's neighborhood, and make the trek across the meadow to a "hidden" beach. As we got out of the car, we heard a commotion. A dog had spotted a bear just down the street. We quickly got back in taking a few shots from the safety of our rental car. After watching and waiting, we decided to go to the beach, but were somewhat concerned that the bear may be looking for dessert. As I scanned for fences to toss the kids over, Aaron grabbed a big stick. Luckily, we didn't need it, but it never hurts to have the bear necessities.
