Fast Friends

Ryan doesn't have many friends. Jordan and Kylie will be the first to tell him this. He's really looking forward to preschool this fall because he will be "vited" to parties. But, he didn't have to wait until fall to find a friend. On the first day of our Californian vacation, Ryan not only found a buddy for the entire trip, but a buddy for life. Grandpa was there to race him in the pool, throw the football, and let him win at everything. Grandpa shared his black licorice and chips, and was always willing to participate in slingshot fights. Ryan and Grandpa became fast friends, and I'm sure that if Grandpa comes out to visit in fall, that Ryan will "vite" him to his birthday. After all, that's what friends (and Grandpas) are for.
