In Search of the Golden Egg

For the past few years, the Easter Bunny has hidden one golden egg in our yard. As the kids scrambled to collect eggs with low fat candy (mom wields some influence with this bunny guy), they were on the hunt for the coveted egg. With Aaron filming the mad dash across the yard (under strict orders not to get footage of me in my pajamas), I snapped some pictures. We occasionally stopped to offer Ryan strategical advice, as he couldn't keep up with his siblings. Well, it paid off, as Ryan found the golden egg. Inside it was the first clue of a scavenger hunt that led to much anticipated gifts. The kids have just as much fun with the scavenger hunt as they do collecting eggs, and I have just as much fun watching them, too.

We need to step up our egg hunts and make it a scavenger hunt. They really have to work for those treats! Congrats to Ryan on finding the golden egg! ~D
