Rock City - Off the beaten path

More pictures from Chattanooga.................
On our second visit to Rock City's "Enchanted Garden of Lights", we introduced Grandma to something new - thousands of twinkling lights and Christmas displays. She introduced us to something new as well. As we were winding our way through the decorated paths, we smelled aromatic cinnamon in the air. As we got closer, we discovered fresh kettle corn being made by a crackling fire, orange against the night sky, with an occasional crackle and spark. As Grandma emerged with two bags, we ventured off the path into a nearby building. As we opened the door, it was so warm and welcoming, with a live guitar soloist performing Christmas songs. We found rocking chairs by the fire, and sat, enjoying the kettle corn, music, and relaxation. Ryan was over the moon for it. Just prior to the kettle corn, we took a family picture. Ryan protested, and wouldn't even show his face. Afterwards, he was all smiles, posing for a picture with Jordan and Kylie. Sometimes, life is just better - when you venture off the beaten path.
