Second Thinking, Second Santa

A few weeks after our first Santa visit, we set off to see him again. He comes to our neighborhood every year, and the kids had been anticipating his arrival. Kylie was looking forward to the hot chocolate and cookies, and Ryan now had this "Santa Thing" down. Jordan, on the other hand had some questions. The morning before the visit, he confided in me that he knew that this Santa was different than the "Library Santa". Well, I had a quick answer to this - we all know that Santa needs assistants at this busy time. But, he still had second thoughts. He then asked why the elves put bar codes on the gifts they make. Well, as a seasoned shopper, I had the answer to this as well. They wanted to make it easy for us to return items. As I matter-of- factly answered, I think he was satisfied for the time being. But I was still curious to see how he would react to Santa #2. Well, Santa #2 remembered Jordan (all 60 pounds of him) from last year, and it was like old friends talking. On Second thought, it was more than an old friend, it WAS Santa.

Funny story! I just tell Kendal that Santa is really busy, and that sometimes he has to shop at Target! Cute picture!
