A Halloween worth waiting for

For the two months preceding Halloween, Ryan had asked me "How many days until Halloween"? As the days got closer, he was able to calculate for himself, and gave me a report every morning. When the day finally came, he immediately got into costume, and attended parties with Jordan's and Kylie's classrooms. Jordan was quite the hit with his classmates, wearing his S.W.A.T. uniform. Although supposed to be dressed as a storybook character, 3rd graders are known to bend the rules now and then. Kylie decided to be a pretty pink witch, keeping with her "pink" theme from last year. Aaron took them out for almost two hours of trick-or-treating. When they returned with their 12 pound haul, they made piles, and started trading. Little did they know that I had my eye on the peanut m&m's, and Aaron was spying the fruit candy. The candy has now dwindled to just over 7 pounds, and Ryan has started his countdown to next Halloween.
