What a difference a day makes

Sometime between the Paleolithic and Mesolithic era when I ran high school track, I had my first news article written about me. After a successful win at the 400 meters, my coach was quoted as saying "she has more heart than anything". He later apologized for the quote, saying that it sounded like I only had heart, not anything else (talent). He didn't need to apologize, though. I knew exactly what he meant. I hadn't thought of that quote for a long time until just recently. Kylie was intent on learning to ride a bike. While Aaron and I were outside working on the garage and yard, she traversed the sidewalk up and down - fall after fall after fall. She never got down on herself, and picked herself up time and again. The next day, she was riding like a pro - proud of herself, and showing more heart than anything. And, that, you can quote me on.

Great riding Kylie! She is going to be doing jumps on that bike within a few days! Love the cute outfit, especially the matching shorts and helmet! ~D
