Soda Spring Skiers

It was an ideal day for spring skiing - sun, warm weather, and a short drive up to Soda Springs - Jordan and Kylie's first time skiing/boarding. Grandma stayed at the hotel with Ryan, and Kendal and Chase dragged their parents up for an adventure. Well, let me tell you, it was all you would expect from kiddie skiing - lots of floundering kids, parents running after them, cameras/camcorders aplenty, parents yelling out instructions, and lots of cheering. I plead guilty to all of the above. Exhibit 1a...(upper left) Jordan floundering at his attempt to ski - the skis went all different directions, so he decided to give it up for (the much cooler) snowboarding. Exhibit 1b...(middle) Parents carrying kids around (Aaron had the bright idea of going to the hill that nobody was at...because there was no moving conveyor belt to transport the kids to the top.......and subsequently had to tow the kids up on his own). We soon figured out why nobody was on that hill. Exhibit 1c...(bottom right) Kylie appears to be snowboarding just fine, but hadn't mastered the fine art of turning - as you will notice, Aaron's leg in the upper right hand side of the picture - running after to keep her from mowing over a 3 year-old. And lastly, exhibit 1d.....This is an audio exhibit which was caught on camcorder. It is of me annoyingly yelling to Kylie "Hands on knees, hands on knees" about a thousand times, and then cheering like she just won the Super G at the Olympics when she made it down the bunny hill. We really had a lot of fun, and can't wait to tackle bigger and better kiddie venues (maybe even a ski lift!)
