Ryan's Card - Seeing is Believing

The kids were very excited to make birthday cards for their Daddy. Ryan decided to use paints to create his masterpiece. He used broad brushstrokes of blues and orange, and was very proud of his work. When he presented it to Aaron, we asked him (in a way that anyone besides a 3 year old would feel patronized) "Oh, it's so nice Ryan, what did you paint?" Without giving it a thought, Ryan said "A dolphin". I was thinking "yeah, right", but Aaron said "I really Do see a dolphin". When I looked at the card with "new eyes", I saw it too. I was really proud of him, and it really does prove that "seeing is believing" - especially when it's believing in your child.
