Snow Break for Mom!

When I found out that school was cancelled last night, I thought about the extra sleep I would get - no school buses to run out to, no backpacks to pack, no lunches to make. Extra sleep, an endangered species in this household was soon to be mine. But alas, at 3am, our smoke alarm kept beeping, as the battery decided it needed replacing right then. After that fiasco, I settled back to sleep when inexplicably, one of the kid's toys went off "Elmo loves you" at 4am. So much for a restful night. And, there was no containing the kids when they awoke at 6:30am with the excitement of snow. They had so much fun building their snowman, and hauling it around the yard. Ryan lasted all of 5 minutes before he headed for home, the heat, and Tom and Jerry. As for me it really turned out to be snow break at all.
