The Thrill of Christmas

When I was a little girl, I remember going to the amusement park, having a great time riding all of the rides and roller coasters. I can vividly remember getting off of the Demon roller coaster, and seeing my mom sitting at the exit. I never understood how my mom ever had any fun. For as long as we were standing in lines, riding rides, and enjoying ourselves, she found a little bench to sit on.................................and just watch us. She followed us from ride to ride, and never complained about long lines, or wanting to ride "just one more time". Now that I'm an adult, I can see that the real thrill in being a parent is seeing those smiles, laughs, and giggles that come so freely and naturally - that sitting on the bench and watching is sometimes the best seat in the house. This Christmas, I definitely realized the great thrill of Christmas, and for the first time, saw it on the face of my brother, with his own son. You can't ask for a better gift than that.

I know what you mean. The enjoyment is actually better than when I was a kid. I see the kids discovered Webkinz. It won't be long till Kendal wants one. Those look like some fun sleds under the tree! Looks like the kids had a wonderful Christmas! So glad that your blogging to share this all with us!
