Sunday's Best for Christmas Eve Monday

Last night, Jordan and Kylie got dressed in their "Sunday Best" for the Children's Christmas Eve Mass at our local church. Despite leaving earlier than usual, I had to test the limits of the new Odyssey, and park it in the grass, as the church lot was completely full. As I approached the building, I saw families standing, the church totally packed (20 minutes prior to mass). We found a little area to sit on the floor, but later got seats (a Christmas miracle). It was a really nice service, with songs that I actually knew (Silent Night, O' Little Town of Bethlehem, Go Tell it On the Mountain, and We Three Kings (Jordan's favorite). Father Ed had returned from a recent heart surgery, and said he was going to give us the best gift of all, the gift of Brevity. He kept his word, and at the conclusion of the service, my prayers were once again answered, as the Odyssey made it out of the grass.

Brevity and Catholicism. Isn't that an Oxymoron?

We decided to keep the peace for all of the locals and keep lil' peanut out of mass.

Well I thought they looked like little Catholic school outfits when I first saw those outfits! I guess I will have no excuse to ditch church once the Episcopal church is built behind us! I don't think I could fit in at the Catholic church, the drunk Episcopalians are more my speed..ha ha! Merry Christmas!
