A Morning with Santa - will he recover by Christmas?

This morning, we attended the "Morning with Santa" event at our public library - our third year in a row. As a seasoned veteran to this event, I calculated the perfect time to wait in line and see Santa (or so I thought). First up was Kylie. I'm not sure if Santa knew what a "Mega Spinosaurus" was or not, but her lengthy list put him to sleep. Jordan was next up - surely he would do better. After he told Santa about the "Lego Jawa Sandcrawler" Santa looked confused (at least Jordan didn't mention the Lego death wagon). And last was Ryan. Would the example of Jordan and Kylie be fresh in his mind, or would he still remember the kid that had a major meltdown just before us? If you picked the latter, then you are correct. Actually, I don't know if Ryan was more afraid of Santa, or if Santa was more afraid of Ryan. After watching Santa on many a mall trip, and talking about him all morning, Ryan bolted before telling Santa about his "bouncy ball"request. It reminded me of the Santa scene from "A Christmas Story". But all is well that ends well - Mrs. Claus was on hand with candy canes to save the day, and Santa still has a few weeks to recover.

I love the way you tell the story Laurie. I wish I had your writing skills! You guys got your visit with Santa over early! I keep telling Chase how nice Santa is so that she will want to sit on his lap this year!

I think Santa will only be seen in books and movies for the next 2 years. Although, with the amount of facial hair Henry's Daddy has it should be no problem :)
