Kiddy Gardeners

Yesterday, we had a beautiful fall day - warm weather and multi-colored trees. It was the perfect opportunity to get out and do some planting and leaf raking. Jordan and Kylie had a great time digging holes and planting pansies. It was a bonus if they were able to find worms and grubs. Kylie had a lot of fun building her version of a mud snowman - complete with with a little outfit and hat (pictured in the middle). Jordan used his excavator to dig holes and "help" me out. All in all, it was a great day to be together outdoors - while the weather is still nice.

How fun. Do pansies last through the winter out there? I have just never seen fall plantings of those flowers. Looks nice.
