Most of the time, I have the hardest time getting a genuine smile out of the kids - I usually get the fake, say "
cheeeeese" grin. Over time, I have learned that the best way to get a real smile is to catch them in act of having fun. The other day, Kylie was playing with her dragon and crocodile. She was happy as a clam, chatting away, when I asked if I could take a picture of her with them. To my surprise, she said "sure" - she's usually not so
accommodating, and I was fumbling with my camera, trying not to miss this shot. Anyways, I think I got her smile - for real.
If Kylie's kindergarten teacher is reading this, don't listen to Kylie if she told you I said the "F word". The other night, we were sitting around the dinner table, when
Kylie said "Mom, you said the F word". I had just been talking about the fat free salad dressing, and she thinks that "fat" is the "F word". Remember, you said that you wouldn't believe half of what the
kindergartners say about us as long as we agree not to believe half of what they say about you.
Sincerely,
Kylie's mom
