Aaron gets a promotion
Remember the good old days of Beavis and Butthead working at Burger World? The caption in the above picture reads "Working at the world is sposed to be like, uh, challenging or something." Beavis would fry up burgers (and sometimes rats) in the backroom, and Butthead would try to smooth things over with the dissatisfied customers who demanded a manager. He would say "I'm not a manager, but I'm an assistant manager, can I help you?" Well, I'm happy to report that Aaron has been promoted into the world of management as Senior Vice President of Development for Actus Lend Lease. How many levels of vice president are there? Well, there's regular v.p., senior v.p., executive v.p. , and assistant to the traveling secretary (ask George Costanza about that one). Anyways, way to go, Aaron. It doesn't seem that long ago that I was helping Aaron find work during summer break at college. After he dishearteningly got rejected by Me 'n' Ed's pizza (same place K-Fed worked before he met Britney), he decided to take more liberty with his resume. It paid off, and he landed his job at the Sizzler restaurant (we goin' Sizzler, we goin' Sizzler). He bought home more one dollar bills every night than a "professional dancer". It was a great job for a college kid - perhaps he would have been tempted to stay if not for the Canadian couple who he waited on. While deftly serving their drinks and cheese toast, they told him he was too intelligent to be working there.
Fortunately, he's happy where he's at right now, and with the title he has. But, is a title so important? Dwight from "The Office" would say "yes" - He would argue that he is the Assistant Regional Manager, not the Assistant to the Regional Manager.
Lastly, Aaron says he reads this blog. We'll see how long it takes him to mention this. I should be getting a call right about.......................................................NOW.

...it was a fun blog while it lasted.
If only Aaron danced professionally while working AT Sizzler -- he could have been the "sizzle" in Sizzler.
Congrats Aaron! You've worked hard and deserve the promotion and some extra time off. Does this mean you can telecommute from CA? :)
Gosh Laurie, I didn't know you were a Beavis and Butthead fan! Tell Aaron congrats(or he can read it for himself). I will try to get the title right and not mess it up!
