Happy Trails

Some of our friends will remember mountain biking with the old Aaron and Laurie - adventure racing, duel with Diablo, single tracks, clipless pedals, etc. Well, those days are "on hold" for now. As you can see, we have added some accessories to our bikes, are riding in tennis shoes, and use 1 or 2 gears max. With Jordan now a certified bike rider, we are able to hit the paved trail that originates in our neighborhood and goes for miles to parks, schools, and the library. There are always lots of squirrels, butterflies, birds, and sometimes even turtles on the ride. I usually lead the pack, and am constantly saying to Jordan "stay in control, stay in control" - hoping I don't hear that sound of Jordan wiping out. He's only had a few falls, and we have taught him to fall in the grass or bushes. Kylie and Ryan are happy as clams riding in the little buggy. They especially love when Aaron takes them off road for some 4-wheel action. All in all, it makes for a great outing!
